I truly felt as though any destruction of books would bring me extreme pain. I was wrong. When deleting my PDF, I felt little emotion towards the act. I think it is because I never truly owned the book. I also realize that I could re download the book as quickly as I deleted it. With the digital age, I think copies of things online hold less value because I only view them on the screen and do not actually possess them. While I think a lof of parts of the digital movement are positive, I find this part of it sad.
