Like Hermione, I too have read Exploratory Programming for the Arts and Humanities by Nick Monfort. This book was great for following examples, much like we have thus far in class. As far as making up code on our own, I do not know how helpful it is but it gave me a great, basic understanding of code. If any of you feel as though you need to gain some simple knowledge on code, I 10/10 recommend.
